Roughly one in four ( 23% ) got their Papillon from a pet breeder

21% who’ve had at least one litter say they’ve never had a stillborn or had a puppy that died shortly thereafter. Another 41% say they very seldom have this problem

The primary complications Papillon owners mention as occurring during the breeding process

are false pregnancies, spontaneous reabsorbtions and irregular heat cycles. 

Other items mentioned by at least 10% are pyometra, infertility, mastitis and general

reproductive problems.
